Sister Ayesha Begum has established Hyderabad House at Philadelphia in 1962 and registered as non-profit organization with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Also, it was granted tax-exempt status by the Internal Revenue Service.

The activities of Hyderabad House , Inc. are like the other Muslim organizations involved in community work, with greater emphasis in education and establishing prayers among the communities.

Long ago Hyderabad House established "Makkah Masjid" at 1319 West Susquehanna Ave., Philadelphia, Pa. by the side of Temple University Campus.

Makkah Masjid is the biggest mosque in Philadelphia where 700 Muslims can pray together on each Friday as well as on each Eid Day. March 1997 the "East Coast Convention of Tabligi Jamat" was held in Makkah Masjid successfully.

Hyderabad House, Inc. publishes Hyderabad Times and International Almanac. This is also a center of the publication and teachings with the helping hand of the students.

Sister Ayesha Begum performed a great contribution from Hyderabad House to publish the facsimile reproduction of the manuscript of Caliph Sayyidina 'Uthman Dzu-Nurain'. which is at Tashkent, Turkey. Dr. Muhammad Hamidullah of Paris has edited this copy and he also has written the introduction.

A few years ago, Sister Ayesha has published the Surah Yasin separately from this manuscript with the "Forward" of Dr. Muhammad Hamidullah of Paris.

Sister Sogra Fatima is the sister of Ayesha Begum has printed 5,000 copies of this 'Surah Yasin' for free distribution internationally last year (1416 H) at Madras India. At the same time during the first day of 1416 Ramadan "Sogra Fatima Quranic Center" also has been established at 140 Lloyds Road, Madras, India as a branch of Hyderabad House Inc. Philadelphia, Pa. USA.

During the last 1416 Ramedan there were Taraweeh prayers daily and on 27, 28 and 29th of Ramadan 1416 there were performed Shabina prayers of Taraweeh for these 3 days of "Sogra Fatima Quranic Center". The recitations of the whole Qur'an was completed in 3 days, which was the blessing of Allah The Almighty. A good Sahry was arranged late in the night for these three nights for worshippers to eat. The Quranic Exhibition was held on Eid Day. This system of Taraweeh and Shabina in Ramadan in will continue every Ramadan in future at "Sogra Fatima Quranic Center", Madras, India.

Nowadays the demand of "Surah Yasin" has risen very highly. So a new edition has been published to benefit the Muslim community.

There are "Minhajul Quran International Organizations" though out the world, which has got many hundreds of branches in the world for teaching and practicing the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah.

This great organization is calling to all the Muslim organizations of the world to forget all their differences and appear at one platform of "Minhajul Qur'an"

to show the wonderful Muslim unity and brotherly love for the sake of Allah.

There are many thousands of videotapes and a lot of books at each 'Minhajul Qur'an Center' to inspire the mind of the Muslim to make their lives successful in this world and in the Hereafter.

Now the "Minhajul Qur'an Organization" has elected Hyderabad House as a representative of the USA. Therefore Hyderabad House is turning the attention to a building of 1500 square feet with two floors and a basement, located at 2222 North Park Av., Philadelphia Pa. at the cross street of Makkah Masjid. This building has been idle for the last 25 years. This run down building is in need of fixing immediately.

Hyderabad House has been keeping this building for many years to start a "Quranic Center ". Now the time has changed and time to make plans for this building as the ' Minhajul Qur'an Center' for the cause of Allah and His Messengers (pbub). The estimated cost to repair for the completion of this project is about $225,000. The support of all is needed to complete this project. Your financial contributions are highly appreciated.
